Next week, the students will be measuring the mass of various types of matter and they will be designing their own experiment to determine if H2O has the same mass in solid and liquid form.

Carbon Dioxide Balloons
In Science, we are continuing to explore the properties (characteristics, features, traits, attributes) of solids, liquids and gasses. This week we created a chemical reaction. By combining a liquid (vinegar) and a solid (baking soda) we made a new substance, a gas (carbon dioxide). The students are encouraged to change one of the variables in this experiment and try it at home.
Next week, the students will be measuring the mass of various types of matter and they will be designing their own experiment to determine if H2O has the same mass in solid and liquid form.
