What Would They Say?

The Students have been learning how to write from another person, or thing's, perspective.  Here are some great examples of student work:

Dear Ms. Halliwell,
It’s me, your buddy laptop, laptop 5 to be precise. You’ve always known you’ve been my favourite teacher. Alright, alright, now, down to business. I… am… EXHAUSTED! My number sticker is gone! AHHH! I feel naked! And, people are filling my files! *cough cough* BOB! With their projects and writing stuff! I mean like come on!  Have they even HEARD of paper!? Like come on! And I kinda want to bond with someone… ok! Ok! I know it sounds weird, really weird. I really want people to play games on me! I don’t JUST want people to do work on me, and laptop 6 and 7? Don’t even get me STARTED! Look at me! I’m the only one who DOES work! They just make my buttons fly everywhere! And, isn’t it TIME I got a better spot AND VIEW!? PA-LEASE! Thank you for reading, (or not)… whatever.
Sincerely,
Your busy friend,
Laptop 5.

Dear Ms.Halliwell,
Listen here Bub. I am sick and tired of being used for watching videos, listening to music and that awful noodle game. I watch you all use the younger whiteboard every day. I feel so lonely because the younger whiteboard laughs at me after school! Every day I think about you using me for things other than having people dance on me. ( I am so done with having people dancing on my face!!). You only use me to write names for your noodle game. Speaking of that game, I have gone blind because of the bright light from the projector. If you don’t use me in the next week, I will stomp right back to my previous owner!

From your unused board,
The Older Whiteboard.
