Winter Break Activites

No Homework For the Winter Break!!!

What can you do to prepare for school in January?

1.  Read. Read. Read.  It's a great time to catch-up, or get ahead on your reading challenge.

2.   http://www.bitstripsforschools.com.  Students are asked to log-in, create your own password and make your avatar.  If you have time, you can introduce yourself in a short comic strip. If you are familiar with the programme, it will help you do a great job on your social studies project in January.www.bitstripsforschools.com

3.  Collect an empty 2 litre pop or milk container.  Wash it out and bring it to science class.  You will need it as a base for your wind turbine project.

4.  Practice your times tables, especially the tricky ones (6, 7, 8).  You will need them for calculating area in January.

Have a safe and happy holiday!

Update:  a copy of the recent measurement math test is going home today.  Parents please sign and return it in January.
